The Heavenly Kid

THE HEAVENLY KID is a reprehensible film that unashamedly steals ideas (if not entire scenes) from other works. In the opening, set in 1960, teenager Smith is killed in a cliff-top drag race. In the film's most imaginitive sequence, the ghostly Smith ends up in a mysterious subway station but is not allowed to board the train going "Uptown." Instead he must ride another train until the opportunity arises for him to redeem himself, thereby getting a chance to go Uptown. More than 20 years goes by and Smith is allowed to get off.
