One of many coast-to-coast car-race films indistinguishable from the others. The standard stock characters line up their various autos in New York and head for California in a mad dash. Lots of car crashes fill gaps in the story--and that means a lot of car crashes. Burton's the cop trying to stop the race. It's a one-joke film that's stretched well beyond its welcome. Producer-director Bail was a stunt coordinator before turning to direction. leave a comment
