The Guilt Of Janet Ames

Russell is the widow of a soldier who was killed during WW II when he threw himself on a live grenade to save his five fellow soldiers. A couple of years later, Russell goes in search of the five men to see if any of them were deserving of her husband's heroics. When she is slightly injured in an accident, Russell suffers a hysterical paralysis that leaves her unable to walk. Douglas, one of the soldiers saved by her husband and suffering from a good case of the guilts himself, tries to talk Russell out of her fixation.
