The Great Missouri Raid: Review

Well-done rendition of the James brothers' oft-recounted battles with the law. Corey stars as Frank and Carey stars as Jessie. After the Civil War, they murder a Union soldier questioning their parents about Frank's connection with William Quantrell, the notorious Kansas raider. Bond, the soldier's brother, vows revenge and dedicates his life to tracking them down. The boys hook up with the Younger brothers and go off on a spree of bank and train robberies and gunfights with the law. Like most James films, the movie ends with the Ford brothers, Heydt and Bissell, shooting Jessie in the back. leave a comment
