While chaperoning a group of teenage boys on a return trip from Europe to the States, Hope gets mixed up with a crooked gambler and a duchess who believes him to be a wealthy American. The duchess's father has his pockets emptied in a card game with the cheat, and when Hope intervenes,
he is pursued from bow to stern. Following the standard plot of these pictures, Hope gets the girl and emerges heroically. The card sharp is also a murderer, but it doesn't really matter. Songs: "A Thousand Violins" and "Lucky Us" (Jay Livingston, Ray Evans).
