The Great Bank Hoax

An offbeat comedy that attempts to expose the greed in a small town. Sand plays a bank teller who embezzles $100,000 just to show it is possible. Bank president Meredith thinks up a scheme to steal $200,000 from the bank and thus cover up the teller's embezzlement. Sands then gives the money back after insurance already covered the stolen money. The whole town eventually gets in the act, including the local minister, in attempts to right the confusion. A witty caper in spots, laced with barbs of ridicule at the town's self-righteousness.
