"The Gorilla" is a code name for a top French secret agent, who divides his time between the criminal underground and espionage. Investigating some stolen missile plans, Ventura finds himself among counterfeiters, dope dealers, and assorted spies. This is an effective little thriller.
Ventura handles the lead role well, making the standard cliches fresh.
