The Good Wife

Another ponderous Australian production that squanders its resources on an obsession with period detail while leaving the plot and characters bereft of anything resembling personality or motivation. Set in the small town of Corrimandel in 1939, THE GOOD WIFE focuses on Marge (Rachel Ward), the dutiful spouse of rugged lumberjack Sonny Hills (Bryan Brown). Although her marriage is a happy one and Sonny is a good provider, he is a dud in bed.
