The Golden Calf

A secretary, played by Carol, leads a simple, rather humdrum life. But her good friend White decides it is time for a Pygmalion job complete with mud packs and silk dresses. The result is ravishing beauty, and the inevitable romance by Carol's employer who, of course, does not recognize his secretary. There are lots of songs, dances, and spirit in this energetic musical. Though the idea is nothing original, the production is pretty good, breathing life into seemingly routine stuff.
