Fowley is a reporter who marries Wrixon, a wealthy Santa Monica socialite. He knows she's got a heart ailment, so he and girl friend Gwynne plot her murder. He lays out the plans and shoots Wrixon, not knowing she is already dead of heart failure. He is caught and convicted, because tough
homicide detective Kelly holds back the true nature of Wrixon's death. Routine material is held together with some strong direction and an equally strong cast. The script has just enough plot twists to keep it interesting. A nice little thriller.
