The true story of a female resistance fighter from Holland during WW II, which is interesting when it sticks to the story but gets hopelessly muddled when it tries to moralize on the philosophical line between worthwhile violence and terrorism. A lot of feminist symbolism also mars a story
that needs to be told straight. Theo Van De Sande's camerawork deserves a special nod.
