Don Knotts is surprisingly funny as a bug-eyed typesetter for a newspaper who yearns to become a reporter. While investigating a murder for a story, he has to spend the night in a haunted house. Combining Knotts, who's afraid of his own shadow, with a ghoul-filled mansion leaves endless opportunities for laughs.
