Their father is killed in France, and they must now oversee their huge Fifth Avenue mansion on their own. Stanwyck married Brent in order to get an inheritance from her aunt, and Brent, a real-estate developer, wants to get his hands on the family's mansion in order to raze it and build a huge complex.
