The clash of the old and new West is the central theme of this Roy Rogers western. Rogers is a horse-riding sheriff after gangsters trying to gain control of an airport by sabotaging the planes. Roy's six-shooters put an end to the gang's doings, but not until after a nasty beating. Songs include Tito Guizar singing "Granada," "You Belong to My Heart," Frazee and Rogers dueting "Wait'll I Get My Sunshine in the Moonlight," and Estelita singing the title song. This was one of eight Rogers pictures--five of them co-starring Frazee--made during a brief hiatus in which Dale Evans was replaced as Rogers' leading lady by other actresses. Studio bosses apparently felt that the public could not be expected to believe that a hero would pursue his own wife so ardently, and the Rogers-Evans nuptials had occurred the previous New Years' Eve. leave a comment
