Woods is a descendant of the renaissance Borgias. After visiting his ancestral castle in Italy, he becomes a successful playwright but also comes to believe that he has inherent killer instincts. Enter Lindsay, whom Woods selects to play the femme fatale in his new hit play, believing her to be another Lucretia Borgia. A murder occurs and Woods, Lindsay, and even the psychiatrist treating Woods (Smith) are equally suspect. An above-average whodunit with many clever twists and turns.
