This winning Capraesque romantic comedy features Loretta Young as Katrin Holstrom, a Swedish farmer's daughter who comes to the capital in search of a nursing job but eventually becomes the maid for Congressman Glenn Morley (Joseph Cotten) and his powerful politico mother (Ethel Barrymore).
