The Eternal Sea: Review

This interesting biographical picture stars Hayden as a Navy officer who continues to command a carrier, even though he lost a leg in a Japanese attack on his carrier (the Princeton) early in WW II. He then fought to stay on active duty when carrier-borne jet aircraft came along. A lots of exciting footage of carrier plane landings and takeoffs is featured, and the portrayal of the women the carrier men leave behind nicely balances sentiment and realism. This is still a good look-see for anybody interested in airplanes and those who fly them. leave a comment
