For the terminally hip and/or terminally adolescent. Stylish and pretentious in equal parts, this postmodern road flick -- directed by defiantly queer, willfully obnoxious Gregg Araki (THE LIVING END) -- calls itself a "heterosexual movie." In fact, its sexuality is fashionably ambiguous and its Grand Guignol coloring rather shopworn -- but oh, that art direction! Drifters Amy Blue (Rose McGowan) and Jordan White (James Duval) take a motor trip through Amerika (where everything costs $6.66), hooking up along the way with dangerously sexy Xavier Red (Johnathon Schaech). Could it all be... symbolic? leave a comment
