Nolan is a girl from the city by the bay who is deeply involved with gangsters, doing scarlet duty as well as holdups on her own. A novelist who understands women of her type helps her quit the rackets, which she succeeds in doing after some bangup action sequences that pack a real
wallop. Still a good story of the Barbary Coast of San Francisco. Nolan, a former Ziegfeld Girl whose acting career covered the silents and the early talkies, made two more films in 1932 and retired from the screen.
