The usual lavish Arabian adventure tale that is great to look at but hard to sit through due to cliches and predictable scripting. De Carlo is the princess and Greene the blacksmith who throws aside his anvil and picks up a sword to free his oppressed people from the evil despot Macready.
Greene uses every trick in the book to defeat the wily prince, and he even manages to marry De Carlo (he tricks her) to further exasperate the ruler. Macready counterattacks and kidnaps the princess in hope that her father, the Caliph, will aid him in quashing the rebellion. Greene rescues De
