Lane is an impoverished composer who impersonates an aristocrat in order to crash Yarde's swank party. There he discovers a gang of jewel thieves at work upstairs. Lane, a member of the celebrated Lupino clan that produced Ida, Stanley, and Wallace, did some marvelous work in American
silent shorts, but never caught on in talkies, winding up in supporting parts in Ernst Lubitsch musicals and leads in second-rate musicals like this.
