A team of scientists sets out for a remote island off the coast of Chile in order to plant seismic sensors on the bottom of the ocean to monitor earthquake activity. After their camp and boat are attacked by frogmen, the four survivors--scientist Bard Clemens (Roger Kern), pretty Deni
Trion Jenny Neumann), the boat's Greek skipper (Al Mancini), and his first mate (E.J. Castillo)--eventually figure out that the sensors they planted were not to detect earthquakes but to track Russian submarines. A thoroughly dull action drama with endless padding, the story doesn't get moving
until halfway through the film, and none of the characters is more than slightly likable.
