Two tedious, sentimental stories in one mercifully brief package. In the first, a political prisoner behind the Iron Curtain escapes a firing squad and is helped across the border to freedom by two friendly border guards. In the second story, an Irishman flees an unhappy love affair and
comes to America, where he becomes a despised usurer. A priest teaches him a better way and he is reunited with his long-lost sweetheart. Of little interest and no significance.
