The Death Of Mario Ricci

This oddly constructed film set in a quiet French-Swiss village, centers, in a roundabout way, on the death of a local worker named Mario Ricci. Gian-Maria Volonte stars as a crippled television journalist who, along with young director Jean-Michele Dupuis, travels to the village where famed scientist and world hunger expert Heinz Bennent lives. In the process Volonte hears the story of Ricci, a motorcyclist who was fatally injured in an accident with a car. Volonte becomes increasingly involved in the incident, overhearing additional details and meeting with those who knew Ricci.
