The final Harry Potter film easily shattered box office records on its first day in theaters.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2  earned $92.1 million on Friday, the largest one-day gross ever, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That total broke the record previously held by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which earned $72.7 million on its first day last summer.
