This gritty backstage story deals with the petty jealousies, hates, loyalty, and loves of a third-rate burlesque troupe. Skelly is the pratfalling entertainer, who takes to drinking when success on Broadway goes to his head. His wife, Carroll, divorces him after he resumes an affair with
