A speech-heavy drama which ploddingly tells the tale of an aging actress who plays one final role. Close to suicide, the pauperish Crosman learns that a wealthy old actress friend has disappeared. To help the missing dame's family out of numerous problems, she decides to impersonate the
old woman. After the difficult ends are tied up, she admits her deception.
