The Corndog Man

The title may suggest a goofy farce about mutant snack-food vigilantes, but this well-written movie actually combines dark comedy, drama and mystery as a mysterious main character (whose face we never see) plagues an apparent stranger in search of something from his past. In his rented room above a gas station, the telephone stalker opens a briefcase full of army memorabilia and a black-and-white photo of a boy. He calls Ace Barker (Noble Willingham), a lonely boat salesman who works at the "Triple K Sails" shop, saying he's interested in buying a boat.
