This trashy anti-Catholic horror entry comes from director Peter Walker, who was also responsible for such slimy classics as FRIGHTMARE (1974) and HOUSE OF WHIPCORD (1974). Once again attacking the establishment, Walker presents us with a demented priest (Sharp) who records the confessions
of young women in order to blackmail them. When a few unfortunate parishioners stumble upon the priest's activities, he kills them, using a variety of religious icons. One victim--played by Beacham--is strangled with a rosary; another has his skull bashed in with an incense burner. The priest even
kills his own mother with a poisoned host! Since Walker fails to bring any sensibil...
