Totally inept and unintentionally comical, THE CHILDREN opens with a busload of kids becoming radioactive when they pass near the site of a nuclear plat leak. Anything they touch turns to smouldering embers, and the only way to stop them is to cut off their hands. Obviously made by
socially conscious individuals, the film evokes a catalog of modern social ills--from nuclear waste to inattentive parents--in an effort to be relevant.
