Murder mystery eventually unravels in the Agatha Christie mode as a circus clown searches for the aerial performer wife who deserted him 15 years earlier, taking their baby who is brought up by her rich lover. Herbert, the clown, finds his wife, Livingston, just as she is about to leave
Fellowes for yet another lover. She doesn't recognize her former spouse who is disguised as a Hindu mystic. Livingston is murdered at a high society party where she is making plans to again run off and Herbert is later accused of the murder. The real killer is later revealed in a muddy ending.
Part talkie has all the old conventions, but weak direction ruins an intriguing plot.
