THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE is a fine military swashbuckler with some of the most dynamic action sequences ever seen on the screen. Great pains were taken to re-create the 1850s milieu but Warner Bros. typically discarded the actual facts regarding the magnificent military blunder, retaining instead the era's pomp and the stirring lines of Tennyson's famous poem.

The story begins in in 1850 in northwest India during the years leading up to the Crimean War.
