the Japanese animation genius in every frame; his protégée, Hiroyuki Morita, does spectacular work. After teenaged Haru (voice of Anne Hathaway) rescues a kitty-cat from traffic, she has good cause to ponder the expression, "No good deed goes unpunished!"
