Notorious pirate March refuses to attack and rob American ships in honor of his adopted home's regard for freedom. Hiding out in the Louisiana swamp country, March pines for New Orleans and the wealthy Grahame, whom he loves. After rescuing the pretty Gaal from a German ship that he has pillaged, March learns that the British are about to attack his beloved New Orleans. Coming to the aid of Sothern and his American forces in what would be called the War of 1812, March helps defeat the attackers and is hailed as a hero.
