The Blue Max

Offering some of the best WW I aerial footage ever committed to film, THE BLUE MAX stars George Peppard as Bruno Stachel, an ambitious German infantryman who escapes the trenches to become a fighter pilot. Like every other German flyboy, Bruno dreams of winning the "Blue Max" (named for ace Max Immelman), the highest honor his country can bestow upon a pilot. Utterly ruthless, he soon becomes an ace, but is never accepted by the other pilots, most of whom are members of the old Prussian aristocracy. Determined to overtake ace Willi Von Klugermann (Jeremy Kemp), he becomes increasingly more daring, and when not adding "kills" to his tally, Bruno scores with Countess...
