This is the Gallic version of William Sidney Porter's "The Ransom of Red Chief," which was done as part of O. HENRY'S FULL HOUSE in 1952. Two would-be kidnapers abduct a young man who comes from a wealthy family. In order to keep the boy happy while they await the ransom, both men dress
as Indians--that being the lad's pleasure. But the kid is such a rotten child that the family refuses to pay ransom for him. Eventually the kidnapers pay the family to take the little monster back. A funny story, this film suffers from too much padding added to fill it out to feature length. (In
French; English subtitles.)
