The Big Boodle: Review

A sad film for Flynn, who, close to the end of his career, had grown flabby and indifferent. Flynn is a Havana casino croupier who inadvertently comes into the possession of counterfeit plates. Mysterious criminals stalk him to regain the plates. This results in an overlong chase through the streets of pre-Castro Havana, a seedy black-and-white travelog of dives, dens, casinos, and mantraps, footage that is more interesting than the story itself. Flynn is beaten to a pulp but still emerges as the hero. leave a comment
