By no means a good film, but not as bad as some might think. Burton (in an admittedly questionable piece of casting) plays the aging revolutionary Trotsky in his waning years while in exile in Mexico. Delon is the mysterious assassin who eventually slams an ice axe into the brain of
Trotsky. The assassination scene is accurate in reflecting the events that took place in Trotsky's office that day. The film is somewhat muddled, but there are small moments that give some insight into the tragedy of the last days of the exiled revolutionary's life.
