Incredibly incoherent story of a returned Vietnam vet, MacLeod, who hangs around Hollywood trying to sell a screenplay. While living on Malibu beach, he rescues the daughter of big-shot movie producer Windom from a band of bikers. Windom thanks McLeod for saving his daughter, but tells him
to stay away from her. As if that weren't enough, Windom tells the vet that his script is lousy. Now the going gets really weird. The bikers return, and their leader, MacArthur, happens to be an actor who is interested in playing the lead in our hero's script. Then somebody breaks out the LSD,
rock music, and bizarre costumes, and the film goes into an extended hallucinatory part...
