An expertly crafted suspense film that is too often overlooked. Deborah Kerr, making her fifth feature at age 24, appears as an Irish spitfire who has been weaned on her grandfather's tales of British cruelty to the Irish; she leaves her small village of Ballygarry, spouting anti-British venom to a stranger, Huntley, on board a train to Dublin, where the IRA rejects her.
