A slightly goofy musical which stars Oakie as a hoofer, dead for nearly 18 years, who returns to Earth as an angel to help his young daughter, Peggy Ryan, fulfill her ambition to become a singer, despite the protestations of her grandfather, Lockhart, who doesn't want to see another entertainer in the family.
