Gilmore plays a dippy secretary who devises a scheme to win the love of her boss Ellison. She begins sending strange letters to him under an assumed name, and, when she introduces her frustrated fiance Duryea, Ellison mistakes him for a dangerous criminal and assumes the letters were death threats.
