Thanos And Despina

This Greek variation of "Romeo and Juliet" stars Carlatos and Dialegmenos as two young lovers fleeing an arranged marriage which would force a man she can't stand on Carlatos. The pair steal supplies and flee into the mountains, but they are soon located by the girl's father and her jilted suitor. A fight ensues between Dialegmenos and the suitor in which the latter is killed. Faced with an unhappy future, the lovers then commit suicide by leaping off the mountain.
