Dennis stars as a graduate student who is seduced by TV announcer McKellen and becomes pregnant. Despite the advice of her friends, Dennis decides to have the baby, although she keeps her pregnancy a secret from McKellen and her parents. Eventually she gives birth to a daughter, but the baby has a heart condition and must have a serious operation.
