Three Texas Steers

While not up to par with the rest of the series, THREE TEXAS STEERS still provides a few chuckles, even if they're not all intentional. Landis, the femme owner of a circus, inherits a plot of land which the government wants for a water improvement project. The shifty Graves, Landis' manager, tries to get the land for himself, but his plan is foiled by Wayne and his fellow Mesquiteers. This was ventriloquist Terhune's final appearance in the series, which accounts for the excessive footage of him and his sawdust dummy. The circus fire scenes are courtesy of CIRCUS GIRL (1937).
