Matt Dillon takes his urban toughness to Oklahoma as Tex, a young farmboy raised by his elder brother when their mother dies and their father wanders away. The film probes the pitfalls of growing up, tackling such subjects as sex, boozing, and fighting--three areas the Disney folks have stayed clear of in the past.
