A businessman spends his time at a bar while his family waits for him at home, occasionally sending his daughter to fetch him. By the finale he is redeemed and is shown the path to recovery. Roadshow Productions was affiliated with the Women's Christian Temperance Union, as well as the American Advancement Society, Department of Prohibition Education. The picture did little more than alienate "wet" communities and cater to the "dry." The story was very popular in the silent days and was filmed twice in 1903, then again in 1909, 1910, 1911, 1913, 1921, and 1926.
