Temptation Harbor

Newton is a hard-working, honest railroad signalman who one day finds $20,000 in the harbor after witnessing a murder. He decides not to turn the cash over to the police, choosing to leave town with his daughter, Barton, and the gold-digging Simon. They are pursued by the killer, who meets death accidentally at the hands of Newton. Newton finally decides to go to the police and return the money. The first British adaptation of a novel by Georges Simenon, and far from the last.
