Neagle is a war widow who edits a fiction magazine for adolescents. But she's out of touch with the feelings of her own teenage daughter (Syms, in her first starring role), who falls in with a bad crowd. Neagle tries to stop her daughter from going out on all-night club hops, but to no
avail. Finally Syms gets in trouble with the police and comes to her senses after spending a week in jail. The film is hopelessly predictable, but Syms makes it better than it deserves to be. She has the kind of energy and spunk that cuts through the moralizing and stereotyped character. Dripping
