Having little to do with tear gas, this cheapie casts Morgan as a nightclub piano player who has a thing for a cop's daughter, Dickson. In order to prove that he's no pansy, he joins the police, gets trained by the girl's beau (policeman Payne), gets kicked out, and eventually becomes the
hero after saving Payne's life. Of course he gets the girl. Includes that tune that every cop should whistle while on the beat, "I'm an Officer of the Law" (M.K. Jerome, Jack Scholl).
